Find Your Subject
What are we talking about? Affiliate Marketing on the Internet can be very difficult and way to many try the shotgun approach. That is, they advertise anything and everything, never settling on one area at all.
 
Why the Headline calls it a subject is because most of us know a fair amount about something. A subject like History, Maths, will work fine but you may know more about Health or Electrical Appliances. What ever that subject is, allow it to become your area of competence. Your Niche, that little section of the market that you can pour all your knowledge into, forcing others  to realize your a real leader in this field.

A good point about writing what you enjoy doing is it will never feel like work. At this point a word of caution... Be careful about the subject or niche you choose. For example, lets say we decide on the Computer niche. Do you realize how huge that is and how popular it is? NO! I am not saying don't go for it, what I am trying to say is... As the niche or subject is a vast one why not pick your favorite corner of the subject. Say Computer Repairs, or Software, maybe Protection! I do not know a lot about computers but I am sure you follow what I am saying. 
 
Every subsection of any subject or niche  is a niche within it's self. Why not break your niche down to as many sections as you can then break those sections down as much as possible till you can't keep going. Then choose your path that way. Eventually as you grow more and more can be added till you have covered a huge chunk of the main Niche.
 
 

 
 

List Building
What is a List? This can be likened to say a hardware store, where they take your name and send you the occasional mail recommending a certain product because it is on special or because the owner is aware of a common problem in the area and he has just the item to solve it for you.
 
With the speed of growth of Internet Marketing more and more newer ones are starting every day. Some may need assistance learning the ropes while others may require certain products to over come different problems they may be facing.
 
Every successful Marketer has a list of prospect plus they have a list of regular customers. For us at the start we need to find customers but finding prospects is often quite easier.
 
We start by having what is called a squeeze or leed Capture page. This is a small site that starts with a eyeball grabbing or pleasing headline with a mind blowing sub headline, a couple Bullet points as to the value of joining with your list and an Autoresponder code box to get your prospects name and email address.

Before we go any further I suggest very strongly that you pick up an Ebook called "Building Your List With Ease" A perfect publication that gives you a step by step method explanation on how to build a list. It is simply explained in such a way that everyone will understand and it is FREE! An upgrade to on sell it is offered for a remarkably next to nothing and it does sell real easy but that's your choice. either way however I highly recommend you to get your hands on a  copy if you don't have one!
 
Back to building your list. Before you take that step one of the first things for you to do is to decide what marketing area your going to concentrate on or work in. The choices are many and varied. What ever subject you can think of there will be a strong possibility that a market exists for it some where or some how. The trick is to find a market that is not flooded with Marketers trying to sell to a limited market.
 
First step is to decide on what you know a lot about or what you just love doing. This is usually the easiest choice to go with. Let's say your a football fan. I suggest not to tackle the football subject on a broad basis because it is such a huge subject particularly considering the fact of the many different types and styles of football being played. Rather break it down to find a smaller sub areas or niches. Perhaps choose one team and develop from there or last weeks game between two teams. What ever you decide to work in make sure you keep it interesting and to the point.

Next write 7 to 15 separate emails on a subject dealing with your niche to send to your prospects after they have joined. Your Autoresponder does this automatically once you have set it up and placed the code into your squeeze page. Your now ready to start building your list.
