USING
TRAFFIC EXCHANGES
Often when we start a promotion many do not think about how they are going to drive
traffic to their website. That appears to be the last thing thought about when really it should be one of the first.
Most Internet Marketers have the same old methods of
traffic they send to their websites but forget to ask themselves how targeted is the
Traffic Exchange? What are the members interested in? While they promote their business looking for prospects sales and referrals we must ask ourselves how many are purchasers?
Consider a
Traffic Exchange with 4000 members and we have an Affiliate product to sell dealing with Private Label Rights (PLR), which is a product when purchased by a prospect becomes there own personal property to do with as they wish. Of course one would always check the license first.
Consider YOUR Audience
Before placing an ad on a
Traffic Exchange to do with PLR or affiliate marketing, we must consider the audience. How many members have the ability to edit the product using say a html editor, have an Auto-responder and a hosting account. Have the ability to create a PayPal Button, build a lead capture page, create and place the Auto-responder code to it ? Then can write an email series in order to assist prospects to learn more about the product and how to market it and the added information to teach something new?
While it's true that prospects purchase PLR in order to give away, these ones would not want to pay much for it, if anything at all! We may like to think they will read it and benefit that way but Hey how many unread ebooks do you have on your computer? Enough said. It appears to me that if you want someone to read the PLR it has to be about something really interesting and that the prospect knows very little about.
On a
Traffic Exchange more than half and up to 80% I feel are involved in Matrix's and MLM type promotions, that is make money almost entirely from downline XXX levels deep and similar type programs. Another 5 to 10% promote
Traffic Exchanges and Advertising leaving around 10% that actually do some type of sales or product marketing.
This removes a huge chunk of the Exchange Members already. Next consider how many are in different Niches to what your selling? Ah you say I am selling a PLR product about making money online. Therefore almost everyone will be interested in that! Again think about this! How much stuff is there online that deals with making money and how much of that do you purchase or get involved in?
Traffic Exchanges Do Work
Exactly! Not Much! Same with everyone else. Now do not get me wrong
Traffic Exchanges work but you need to have the right product to promote and promote it exceptionally well. Out of 4000 members we are left with 400 who have some interest in affiliate marketing. Of that 400 a small percentage are inactive and from that those who work in a different Niche won't have much of an interest, then there are those who would not buy a hot dog if it were only 10 cents and those who already making money online yet others who are not interested. Of the 400 with a 10% say who fill out your capture page and go through to see the sales page say 40 people which is really way over generous and a 3% strike rate which is a little above average means you may sell 1.2 products and if it was a $7 product would all that pain be worth it?
Personally I know to get 40 members to you Auto-responder from 400 members is way too high, more than likely the figure would be around 2 or 3 which means you probably would not have sold anything. That is not until you mailing goes out to the new prospects then something may happen. I know I would place an ad in the TE's but not spend too much time doing it though because of the real lack of targeted
traffic.
Other Means Of Advertising
Therefore to work from home and drive
traffic to your website, you must look to other means of advertising as well as
Traffic Exchanges.
Place ads on Ezines or use Article Marketing Pay Per Click is a great way because that is generally a highly targeted audience if you use the correct Keywords. Place some Adsence Ads on your website but a caution make sure you remove them in
Traffic Exchanges as that goes against Googles Terms Of Service (TOS).
There are both paid and free Banner sites, I prefer the paid as the webmaster must have quality
traffic coming to his site otherwise he would not earn a penny. Then of course my favorite Email Marketing, using safelists again paid sites are way better than free.
Paid sites for advertising is always better simply because you know your submitting to an audience of members who don't mind spending money. Free sites are for those who are either broke, hate spending or they live with the fairies believing that the world owes them a living and everything they get will always be for nothing. These are the ones who are waiting to fall over and then to stand up and discover they are now rich.
How would you like to mail out to more than 2.3 Million people every day knowing that this is a Targeted Audience. You Can SEE BELOW...
